My name is Melissa Haas. I grew up in Bluff City, TN, and attended Sullivan County Schools. I studied at Milligan College and received my Bachelor’s of Music at East Tennessee State University. I continued my studies at Union College where I earned my Master’s Degree and Education Specialist Degree. I taught music at Holston Middle School in Sullivan County for 12 years before working in Johnson City Schools. I have a wonderful husband and two stepchildren. My leisure activities include swimming, golf, and spending time with friends and family.
